I found myself avoiding the hype over MJ's death. Not sure why, maybe because everyone else was doing it for me. I'll do the remembering in my own time, not during immediate hype time.
It can get too much, a lot of it just riding the grief gravy train. I didn't think about his passing too much at all, more a shrug, likely more to do with the overwhelming tributes, spam mails, tweets doing the rounds.
But the last few days, I did dig out all my MJ music, specifically the early years and Jackson 5, who can forget SkyWriter, always touches a spot that song. My fav solo album has to be BAD. It was teenager time for me, so it has a lot of memories as this was music time, buying cassettes and vinyls.
But for sure, I prefer his early stuff, not at all bothered by anything recent. At a push, the Jackson 5 was the best. His performances in this group will be forever remembered.
Then this post from WeJustLIke it, showing this video of Billie Jean. Wow. He was a showman, plain and simple. Watching this made my skin crawl. And I found myself sadly realising MJ is no more.

I am thinking about arranging an alcohol fueled night out in both London and Brighton for any twitter folk that want to go out and get mullered, then dance around handbags all night. Optional laying in gutters to watch the sunrise.
I live in Seaford, near Brighton. Here you can be sure of a great time. But I also know that London can easily be reached by more people from greater distances. Hence arranging two seperate nights. I would arrange to crash somewhere in London, rather than bail out early to get last train back.
So if you fancy a night out, some drinks, some chat and some dancing, then leave a comment below.
